Even Facebook can be comforting

Since going through a disturbing and hurtful incident in my life, I've begun to amass some sayings that resonate with me. It's amazing how Facebook is a conduit for such comforting and applicable words. It must mean that I'm not alone, and I treasure that. Here's  a few - in no particular order. A favorite poem – what do you think it means?

The Man with the Hoe by Edwin Markham Bowed by the weight of centuries he leans Upon his hoe and gazes on the ground, The emptiness of ages in his face, And on his back the burden of the world. Anyway, please read Jack's comments below. By the way, I took his method writing classes. I recommend them to you all.
